I practice an integrative approach, drawing on both person centred and psychodynamic therapy.
Counselling is a collaborative process, built on a respectful and supportive relationship within agreed safe and ethical boundaries. This foundation helps you feel safe and understood, encouraging open communication and personal growth.
You are welcome to bring whatever you would like to explore into our therapeutic work. This might include current challenges, past experiences, relationship patterns, big life transitions, or questions you’re still finding words for. There is no expectation to have everything figured out, therapy is a space to be curious, honest, and human, at your own pace.

Person centred therapy places you at the centre of our work. In our sessions, you will have the space to explore what matters most to you, with your thoughts and feelings to guide the process. Your journey of exploration is at the heart of our work.
I will walk alongside you, helping to clarify and reflect thoughts and experiences , creating space for new insights and deeper understanding. I work with your pace to feel emotionally safe.
This approach recognises that you are the expert in your own life. I respect your autonomy and individuality without judgment, supporting you to express yourself openly. Through empathy, compassion, and honesty, we can work together to explore painful emotions and experiences, fostering clarity, healing, and movement forward.
The psychodynamic approach explores how unconscious processes and past experiences, from childhood onwards, influence your present thoughts, feelings, and behaviours. I support you in gently examining how these early experiences may continue to shape your views of yourself and your relationships with others.
This includes reflecting on early relationships and life experiences to deepen understanding of how they have contributed to your development and sense of self.
By making sense of past experiences and how they connect to current challenges, awareness can grow. Developing this clarity creates space for healing and the positive changes you wish to make.

In the first session, we’ll explore what has brought you to therapy and what you hope to gain from our work together. I’ll also ask some questions to ensure our sessions are safe and supportive. This helps me understand your needs and creates a comfortable space where your safety and wellbeing are the top priorities.
The number of sessions depends on your needs and goals. We’ll regularly check in to see how you feel the sessions are progressing, and when you feel you’ve made the changes you want, we can arrange a closing session to end therapy.
Each session lasts 50 minutes. Sessions are usually held weekly, or once a therapeutic relationship has been established and the flow of our work is in place, they can move to a bi-weekly schedule if you would like. Flexible scheduling may be available for those with irregular shift patterns.
These work in much the same way as other online video meetings, but with an added focus on creating a safe, supportive, and confidential space for therapeutic work. We both ensure we are in a private, quiet, and comfortable environment. This allows for a better therapeutic experience and ensures confidentiality. I will send out a Zoom or Google Meets link before each session.
Therapy is confidential with the following exceptions:
- Where there is risk of harm to yourself or others
-When I am legally required to break confidentiality
I adhere to the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) Ethical Framework, which guides and informs my practice. To ensure I am working to high professional standards, I attend regular clinical supervision. My clinical supervisor is also bound by the same ethical framework, providing consistent professional guidance and support in my work.
