Alongside my work as an integrative therapeutic counsellor, I am also a CPCAB counselling tutor. Both roles are grounded in my belief in the importance of empathy, self-awareness, and the power of being genuinely heard. I believe that the therapeutic relationship is at the heart of meaningful therapy, built on trust, collaboration, openness, and respect. I am committed to creating a space where people can explore their experiences with compassion, feel understood, and work towards greater self-awareness and change.
I have particular experience in previous work supporting survivors of sexual assault and abuse, in a counselling agency set up by The Survivors Trust. In addition, I have supported university students and teaching staff, developing a strong understanding of the challenges of balancing academic or professional pressures with personal wellbeing.
As a tutor teaching Counselling and Psychotherapy Awarding Body (CPCAB) courses, I support students in developing their theoretical knowledge, skills, and confidence throughout their training. This role reflects my belief in the importance of the therapeutic relationship and reflective practice in the development of compassionate and ethical therapists.

I also hold a postgraduate qualification from the University of Reading. This sits outside my core counselling training but has contributed to my wider understanding of people, society, and the ways identity and culture shape lived experience.
I work with a strong commitment to anti-oppressive practice. I recognise and respect the many ways identity can shape experience, including race, class, religion, sexuality, neurodiversity, and gender.
I understand that distress does not exist in isolation. It is often shaped by wider social, cultural, and systemic contexts. Therapy can be a space to explore these influences while also recognising your strengths, resilience, and lived experience.
